Noelle Sweeney
Lila and Riggins are our two pups. Both are cocker spaniel rescues. Lila (right) was found as a stray in rural Georgia. Riggins (left) was found roaming the streets of San Antonio, Texas. A huge thank you to the rescue groups that helped bring them to us. Lila and Riggins are completely spoiled and loved. They are my constant companions.

Many people ask about their names. If you are a fan of the TV show Friday Night Lights, you know the characters Lyla Garrity and Tim Riggins. "Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose."

Noelle Sweeney is my pen name. I was supposed to be born on December 26th and my mom planned to name me Noelle. Sweeney is from my dad. Our last name is a challenge to spell and pronounce. Whenever we made reservations or ordered takeout, my dad used the name Sweeney.

My journey from reader to writer is recent. I could hear and see these characters and thought I'd write their scenes to clear out that head space. I started writing in my journal on the flight home from Hawaii but Lochlan and Elise continued to live in my thoughts and I had to share their stories in Encounters and Journeys. My third book,

I started writing in my journal on the flight home from Hawaii but Lochlan and Elise continued to live in my thoughts and I had to share their stories in Encounters and Journeys. My third book, In Rhythm, is about Lochlan's twin sister, Brianna. I finished it during NaNoWriMo 2023. Currently, I am writing my fourth book in the 2nd and 3rd Chances collection.

Baking is one of my hobbies. I have found that when I'm stressed I bake and it brings me happiness. Elise, one of my main characters, is a talented baker. Someday, I hope I can be as skilled as she is. I have posted about my baking on Instagram and Threads. Links to those recipes are available on this website.

Creating quilts started because I read a book. The series was the Elm Creek Quilts by Jennifer Chiaverini. I learned how to machine piece and hand quilt and I've been collecting fabric ever since.
